Job Description

Responsibilities (possible Roles):


  • Area Product strategy and vision definition + alignment
    • Understands the market and client needs/trends, understanding of competitors
    • Provides area product strategy
    • Aligns strategy with product owner, business owner and key accounts (business partners, operational units, end user, …); Targets - performance indicators
    • Holds domain development (conceptual/usability etc)workshops together with business partners
    • Regularly conducts and publishes market intelligence and competitive analysis in order to identify areas of opportunity, change and improvement


  • Ownership for a product area
    • Responsible for definition of and reporting on budget initiative (accountability product owner) - suitable results (what and why) that should be put on the roadmap and the impact of them
    • Responsible for business value estimation and business case creation and for sharing the business reasoning with everybody involved in the underlying implementation
    • Ensures consistency from business strategy to current backlog planning
    • Owns, defines and prioritizes feature/product development roadmap (for his product area) - in terms of short-term, mid-term, long-term initiatives and negotiation of launch timeframes
    • Supports coordination for overall feature backlog (overall backlog pre-prioritised and aligned with product owner (s) according to roadmap/release plan)
    • Performs user acceptance testing and acceptance of product delivery against quality, usability and acceptance with targeted user groups
    • Ensures Legal alignment


  • Product marketing
    • Internal marketing activities - ensure that all departments are informed about new product releases
    • Influence (or drive) on marketing activities/communications and public relations
    • Sync with sales (country management, B2B sales, …)


  • Area Product KPI and performance monitoring
    • Establishes and executes KPI monitoring and reporting of product performance. (in line with operations teams where applicable)
    • Defines quality measurement criteria and reports on them
    • Business casing (creation, controlling, recommendations)
    • Interprets figures and derives actions and makes them transparent and understandable


  • Conception
    • Translates strategy and vision (findings from above) into product concepts
      • Business architecture + high level requirements 
      • Understanding of the product technical architecture
      • Concept overview + wireframes + prototypes
    • Accompanies concepts until they are proved in production - need to hand it over to (technical) product manager and scrum team
    • Peer consults during production scrum teams


  • Bridging between worlds (Business Owner, Product owner, Operational units, Scrum teams, different locations, …)




A strong argument for an engineering background in the field we are in (e-gaming): a big part of defining a successful product is in understanding technology and seeing how it might be applied to help solve a relevant problem or exploit a certain (future) opportunity


  • Outstanding entrepreneurial qualities
  • 3 years+ in-depth experience working within gaming industry (preferably expert knowledge of products and business mechanics)
  • Pragmatic thinking, excellent networker & high degree of attention to detail
  • Proven track record for successfully translating product vision/strategy into an entrepreneurial roadmap
  • Ability to create business cases, concepts/prototypes and wire frames, with an excellent track record of developing, launching, and marketing online products.
  • Proven experience of working in large scale and agile product development
  • Combines business thinking with technology thinking
  • High level of economic understanding
